Camp Koch Girls on the Go! Day Camp

camp photo1GSSI's resident camp facility, Camp Henry F. Koch, covers approximately 500 acres of rugged woodland in the hills along the OhioRive, nearCannelton. It is maintained and protected by a year-round resident Ranger. Several hiking trails to points of natural beauty within the camp provide an opportunity to explore nature. The developed area of the camp includes a small lake, divided into swimming and boating areas, a dining hall where campers eat family style, and living units with clusters of platform tents. Camp Koch is a safe place for girls to learn independence, test their ideas, explore new interests, and learn cooperation through group living experiences.A girl many encourage non-member friend to participate, too, but their camp registration fee will include the $12 Girl Scout membership fee. Campers are accepted without regard to race, color, national origin, or disabilities.

Weekend Sessions 

Back at the Ranch Family Camp, June 22-23, for Girl Scouts of all ages and their families
This weekend camp session will feature all the activities that cowpokes love. Grab your partner and learn how to
square dance and do-si-do at a down home hoedown Saturday night with a live square dance caller! Enjoy stargazing under the night sky while learning about constellations and sharing some good ol' star stories. Show off your cowgirl and cowboy skills with horseshoe pitching, corn hole, lassoing and relay races! Don't forget crafts and other traditional camp activities [boating, swimming, hiking and good food]! Grab your best buckles, boots, denim, hats and western gear and come on down for a fun filled weekend that'll make you want to yell yee-haw!

Camp Wanna Do It All, July 21-26, for girls entering grades 4-12 in fall, 2013.
Activities may include: leather work, headbands, beading, dream catchers, basket making, learn to track, archery, canoeing, swimming, hiking and exploring, lashing, nature activities, weaving, picture stories, bird feeders, games, chants, campfire cooking and hanging out with friends!
For this camp session, girls must have the Medical History Physician Form completed by a physician and submit the form by July 5, 2013.

Camp Koch Challenge, July 27 - 28, for girls entering grades 2-6 in fall, 2013
Are you up for a challenge? Enjoy Camp Koch's most popular activities with a twist of friendly competition! Challenge your friends to a canoe race, an archery competition, craft contests and many other fun camp activities! Everyone will get a chance to shine during this unique weekend session, while also enjoying camp's traditional activities such as swimming, canoeing, and camp fire cooking, while hanging with friends. The best part? Everyone is a winner at the end of the week and will receive a great prize!
